The facility was simple. Register, then place a bid and you?re on your way to buying at super cheap prices. Except, there was more to this process than met the eye ? at least according to some disgruntled customers. Haggle.com expected prospective bidders to pay an upfront fee before bidding. And then there were those alarming charges. If you think such shopping schemes seem too good to be true, there are plenty of disaffected participants who would agree with you.? Haggle.com?s online complaints ranged from suspicions about false bidding, inordinate time being wasted, paying outrageous fees, and frustration over continually losing bids against supposed ?bid professionals.?

To me, sites that declare remarkable bargains like diamond rings for a buck or two, or swank laptops for the price of a tin of boot polish are using the oldest trick in the book. Get people?s desire up to a frenzy and you cloud their judgement. Such scam like approaches are legion and you don?t need to go online to find them.
